Webinar attendance is free for prospective students and guests, but we do ask that you please pre-register. ![]() ![]() We have also created a comprehensive list of resources for student use. Our free webinar series is intended to provide students with test strategies and support to increase test performance. The ACT is designed to measure college readiness in high school graduates by testing their reading comprehension, scientific reasoning skills, and the ability to form logical arguments. The Office of Admissions has teamed up with university faculty and staff members to provided online ACT prep resources and online classes at no cost to attendees. First offered in 1959, the ACT was originally created as an alternative to College Board's Scholastic Aptitude Test (now known as the SAT exam). Taking the American College Test (ACT) is a big step in a student's journey to be admitted and attend UWA.
